Rafferty, were from left, Tom Previc and Mark Phenicie, both of the Pennsylvania Association of Justice, Dr. Wayne Sebastianelli, president of the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society and Dr. Harry Schmaltz, first vice president of the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society. Under Senate Bill 1174, the MCARE commission will consist of representatives from the physician and hospital communities, the four legislative caucuses, the administration and a medical student. This legislation would bring stability and certainty to Pennsylvania's physician community, Rafferty said, so they can do what they do best; serve their patients.
