FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Senator Rafferty and Representative Vereb Optimistic by Superior Tube's AnnouncementCOLLEGEVILLE - Senator John Rafferty (Montgomery) and Representative Mike Vereb (Montgomery) are optimistic about Superior Tube's announcement to phase out the use of TCE from their facility. In a statement issued today, Superior Tube announced a comprehensive plan to continue reductions of their emissions as well as phasing out the use of TCE from the facility. The company plans to use the alternative n-propyl bromide (NPB), which is not a hazardous air pollutant, nor does it produce hazardous waste. Both legislators will remain steadfast in their efforts to see the removal of TCE in the Collegeville area. "I am anxious about Superior Tubes efforts to rectify this serious health issue" stated Rafferty. In addition Rep. Mike Vereb added "I'm optimistic about what Superior tube announced today".
